At the Tomsk Polytechnic University, one of the oldest and richest mineralogical museums in Russia, founded by V. Obruchev more years ago. The most important pages in the life of the scientist were connected with Tomsk. Vladimir Afanasevich Voruchev was the first dean and organizer of the Mining Department at the Tomsk Technological Institute in the city of Goro-Geological School of V.
