English Haldey Evgeny Ananievich - Evgeny Haldeus was born in the small Ukrainian city of Yuzovka - then he was called Stalin, and now - Donetsk. The Black Hundreds who burst into the house killed his mother, who, dying, covered her son. The bullet passed through her body and stuck in the lungs of Little Eugene. Then there was a school, from the age of 13 - a plant. From the age of 18, Haldeus began working as a photojournalist, was published in Ukrainian newspapers.

Some of his pictures appeared in Moscow publications. I shot a lot and printed a lot: the Stakhanovites with jackpot hammers, Magnitogorsk, Dneprovostroy, members of the Politburo surrounded by young communists - shot everything that was supposed to real Soviet photographer.

The culmination of the festival was the celebration of two famous photographers from the Second World War: Evgenia Haldeus and American Joe Rosental by the author of the famous photograph, in which the marine infantrymen raise the American flag over the Pacific island of Ivo Dzima.

The two are far from young people, supporting each other, stood in front of a crowded hall, which stood applauding them for fifteen minutes. At the same festival, Chaldea was awarded one of the most honorable awards in the world of art - "Knight of the Order of Arts and Literature."
