I understood at what point you could make an order, and when it was still early. But if the decision was made, the descent cannot be given already. We do not work in a charitable organization, this is a mechanism in which all links should work harmoniously.

It happened that a person is fully refused, there were deeds defaming the honor of the region. I had to remove people from high positions, this is a normal working life. There is a principle - I do not like when people begin to blackmail the resignation. I believe that this means to substitute the entire team, the whole process. This cannot be a single action, it will continue constantly.

And that means, at the moment, as such a statement will be written, I will instantly sign it. I am among these lucky ones. Now I don’t remember specific examples, there were many mistakes and many victories. And they still happen. I believe that the main thing is not to act in a combatant. It is better to slow down some process, wait. Personnel policy is a separate song.

This is the most responsible process for me. It’s hard to include someone in the team. This process can be delayed, and it so happened that I could not appoint a person to the post of person. From a person I need trust, initiative, honesty, hard work, the ability not to be silent, but to translate my disagreement with a common position and not be shy about it. This is a subtle process, the solution comes only over time.

Not finding a hundred percent candidate, I did not make personnel decisions. Just knocking with fists on the table, it is impossible to encourage people to honest, hard work. This will be coercion, from under the stick, unauthorized. It is still hard to do what you do not know how. We built a lot. But we are not builders, we are doing something tall and great, but it seems that others should build.

But no one will do the same reverently what is dear to you. So I had to do this, and these are sleepless nights, huge territories. They built sociocultural centers, libraries, and carried out major repairs of the Philharmonic, College. Crazy number of construction sites. With great difficulty, we promoted library reform.It is no secret that no one goes to the old libraries where there is a smell of musty books, where you are barked at the issuance, that I have passed the book at the same time.

You think that I will never come here anymore, I will download something at the “Litres” or buy on the “ozone”. And we made new library spaces, where a person can be alone in a comfortable environment. These were such battles in the deputy ring, where it was necessary to prove that it was really needed. As a result, we spat, made a dozen libraries at the federal account, and when those in power saw the result - that people began to go to the libraries, then they agreed to support our project.

The Northern Cultural Forum is now the largest cultural platform of the country, several thousand participants. At first we were not understood - why are we carrying top experts, heads of cultural institutions of the Alexandrinsky Theater, including all those in power from federal authorities? They do not discuss Komi! But so we got the opportunity to show our region, talk about our difficulties.

My task was that the republic becomes recognizable in public space. Not everyone knows that Vorkuta is a Komi, that most of the Ural mountains are taking place. Thanks to the Northern Forum, many in the power got acquainted with Komi, and this influenced their solutions. Your appointment was perceived as an eccentric trick. The main principle is to respect colleagues. How did you communicate with colleagues in the highest authorities, who, in the vast majority of you much older than you? Is it not boring with them, because you are from different generations, did you even have common topics? We constantly found common topics for conversation. It does not depend on age or position, but on intelligence, erudition, education, on whether chemistry between people will happen.

It happens, of course, terry bureaucracy, those people who personify the concept of “official” with all its shortcomings. But there are many competent intellectuals, I have become friendly, I have not changed the sphere of work, the same contacts are the same. We implemented several joint projects, worked together. At the beginning of the year, he turned to me with a proposal of work, but then Covid happened, this slowed down the process.
