He worked at the factory, several times almost fell under the execution, but survived and managed to return home safely after the victory.

True, he no longer remained in his native village. The young man was taken to the army, and then he donated in Moscow, went to work at the plant, studied at the evening school.

Together with a huge army of children who survived the terrible years, Vladimir Zarubin managed to catch up and get what war had taken from him - part of his life, senior schools, and student years. He managed to enter the courses of the animators, and then for many years the talented artist worked at the Soyuzmultfilm studio. Looking at his postcards, few people guessed that the same artist was the author of images from hundreds of favorite Soviet cartoons: “Mowgli”, “Well, wait a minute!

He began to draw postcards in the year. The era of socialist realism was very strict for any type of creativity, and even more so - to the one that “went to the masses”, so every new picture should have approved the artistic council. The first samples of hedgehogs and bunnies put members of the commission at a dead end: what is this a new word in Soviet art or an example of capitalist decadence?

I had to refuse many ideas, but the artist continued to draw in his style, and soon millions of ordinary people voted for him, choosing on the shelves of the kiosks of not bold pioneers who are cheerful under the banners in a bright future, and bears on sledges, snowmen, dressing up a Christmas tree, and hare with flowers in a fabulous birthday. After the next phone call from a ruined publishing house, having received the news that he will not receive money for the work of the last weeks, Vladimir Zarubin was laid down with a heavy heart attack.

He died of a heart attack, and his son, who was with him, could not help the summer father, and the ambulance, unfortunately, was late. Despite the fact that in the period from X to E, a huge number were released - more than 1.5 billion cards with drawings of Vladimir Zarubin, today they are appreciated by collectors. Some are considered rarities and are very expensive.
