But the writer almost at the same time joined the International Pen Club. Six years later, the writer was forced to leave the Union, and next year he was deprived of citizenship. Until the moment the USSR ceased to exist, Voinovich lives in Germany, then moves to America, where he continues anti -Russian thoughts, which he puts into his works.

In these years, he writes the book “Moscow”, which is about how communist Moscow will look. The writer makes fun of not only the state system established in the USSR, but also expresses a negative attitude towards his colleagues in the creative workshop. The writer negatively belongs to the writer Solzhenitsyn, making him a prototype of the character of his antiotopy novel. The third wife, Svetlana Kolesnichenko, was the widow of the eminent international journalist Thomas, who left our world in the year when he was 74 years old. Svetlana was very reverent to her first husband, which caused the writing of the book that the woman dedicated to the journalist. Today, a woman is a successful business woman. She is the owner of elite alcohol and restaurant stores.
