Charles Baudler’s life and creative path Biography Charles Baudelaire Charles Pierre Bodler is a French poet, a critic, one of the outstanding classics of world literature. The future poet was born on April 9 in Paris. His father, senator and artist, in combination, Francois Baudler, from early childhood drove his son on galleries and museums, introduced him to his colleagues, instilled in the boy a love of art.

Francois died at the age of 69, leaving a six -year -old son and a young wife. A year later, Charles's mother again married, which imprisoned a heavy imprint on the character of the boy. Not finding a common language with his stepfather, Baudelaire performed such actions that shocked not only his relatives, but the whole society. Soon the family moved to Lyon, and the boy was given to the boarding house.

After its completion, years of study followed at the Royal College and Parisian College of St. Louis. True, from the latter, Baudelaire was with a shame excluded for poor performance. The student years of Charles Baudler were very violent, he made a lot of debts, infected with syphilis, which in the future will cause his death, and even addicted to drugs. It was at this time that he shocked his relatives with a statement that he wanted to devote his life to literature.

In order to instruct a rebellious offspring on the true path and rid him of the “bad influence of the local bohemia”, parents send Charles on a trip to India. True, two months later, having not sailed to the destination, Baudler returned to his homeland. But this voyage did not go in vain and left a mark on the young man's subtly sensing soul. Tropical sounds, smells, landscapes, the danger of a sea journey - all this was reflected in the greatest creations of the poet.

But all this will be a little later. Soon after returning, Charles entered the right to inherit and began to spend his father's money very quickly and thoughtlessly.

The mother had no choice but to sue herself, as a result of which the young man was able to receive only a small monthly amount for pocket expenses. Baudler was deeply outraged by the mother’s behavior. Moreover, such a court decision has become a real disaster for him: now the young man could not pay his debts and conduct normal existence! But the life of a rich loafer gave its fruits and became the beginning of the creative path of Baudler.

His first verses “Malabar girl”, “Lady Creole”, “Don Juan in hell” were printed in the magazine “Artist” for the GG. The verses were followed by a number of articles dedicated to the painting of Delacrois and David. A few years later, the Paris Spleen and Artificial Paradise, telling about the influence of drugs on life and creativity, went to print. Charles Bodler entered the history of literature as the author of the poetic collection “Flowers of Evil”, published in June.

The book was so shocked by the audience that a censorship ban was immediately imposed on it, and the author himself had to remove 6 verses from his creation and pay a considerable fine. Charles Bodler died on August 31 in one of the Parisian clinics.
