Childhood and youthful years of Vladimir have always been closely connected with the beautiful, and at the same time the harsh nature of the taiga.

As a child, Vladimir dreamed of becoming a driver and did not even think about the profession of the “writer”. However, the young Topilin always had a craving for writing, and this is what he was different from his peers. He really loved to listen to the stories of experienced taiga. After school, Topilin studied at the Minusinsk agricultural college, and he was in the find in the find in the sea units of the border troops.

Wooden beams were rotten and could not stand the load. Vladimir fell from a height and lost his consciousness from severe pain. When he came to his senses, he realized that he did not feel his legs.

So, so pleasing to fate, ”Vladimir recalls his first thoughts. His hands still moved. When he woke up, he really wanted to drink. Not far from it lay a one and a half -liter bottle of water. He chose one of the sticks and he managed to pull the bottle to him. But the water did not satisfy, but only increased thirst. The next day it started to rain. The jets of water poured around, but it was impossible to get drunk.

It was difficult to hope for help, because before going to the taiga, he was going to go in one way, which he told his wife, but then he changed the route. We searched for him in a completely different side. Topilin found only on the fifth day unfamiliar hunters. At first they delivered topin to the village, and from there they took to the hospital. It turned out that his spine was broken - in three places.

Vladimir Topilin made several operations. The neurosurgeon in the regional center did not give any guarantees for the fact that he would survive. But the young organism fought. And nearby were relatives, friends and acquaintances who helped and supported. The restoration after the fall was long and difficult, but, in spite of everything, Vladimir Topilin survived.

And even being in a wheelchair, hardened by taiga nature, he was not going to give up. It was after this tragedy, left alone with his thoughts, that Vladimir decided that he would share stories about life in the taiga with his readers. In this he was helped by his mother, who gathered all his old diaries, where her son from childhood kept a record of what was happening around, recorded conversations with loved ones, his thoughts, impressions of nature.

After reading his diaries, he began to embody dreams and desires into reality - he began to write in order to publish all his notes. At first these were small stories for themselves, for the daughter, maybe for neighbors. He did not think that all this would go beyond the limits of his native village. We simply pulled out a flask with Braga from the house, threw it into the body and went on - about this and my first story was, ”recalls Vladimir Topilin.

For many years, Vladimir trusted his work only to the collective of this publishing house. Each book of the author of Topilin traces the connection and continuity of generations, and the theme of “fathers and children” is acutely affected. On the Internet, on the motives of his books, several documentary projects have been created.
