Frolov Orenburg Biography
Frolov Frolov Vyacheslav Vasilievich - Gg. Vyacheslav Vasilievich Frolov was born on January 31. He studied at a seven -year school in childhood, at the same time his labor biography began - he worked in the food detachment of the Sarakratash procurement office and at the state farm. In the city of Frolov he moved to Orenburg and entered the school for adults, and when he graduated from Vyacheslav Vasilievich, he was carried away by scientific activities in the field of meteorology during his studies at the university.
In parallel with classes at the university, he studied during the year at special annual synoptic courses in Leningrad, and after they graduated, he began to work as a weather forecaster in the Kazan weather bureau. Frolov, having received a diploma of Kazan University, became a listener of the All -Union Higher Synoptic Courses in Pyatigorsk. In the same year, Frolov entered graduate school at the Department of Geophysics of Kazan University, successfully combining training with teaching at the educational institutions of Kazan.
Vyacheslav Vasilievich successfully graduated from graduate school and headed the Kazan weather bureau. While working in management, V. Frolov paid great attention to scientific and operational work in the field of providing weather forecasts of complex operations, especially aviation. In June, Frolov switched to service in the Main Directorate of the Northern Sea Route and was appointed head of the weather department of the polar station Dixon.
Vyacheslav Vasilievich began his work in the Arctic in extremely difficult conditions-the ice situation in the western section of the Northern Sea Route in the city, along with other synoptics scientists, actively joined the work on compiling the synoptic characteristics of the Kara Sea. Having collected and analyzed a large amount of data, Frolov prepared his first major scientific work, in which the synoptic conditions of the Kara Sea were in detail and the climatic and physical and geographical characteristics were given.
In the same work, the author proposed a fairly simple way to determine the possibility of icing aircraft in conditions of flight over the Kara Sea. At the beginning of G. Frolov transferred to the Arctic Research Institute and moved to Leningrad. At this time, the Ice and Weather Service department was created at the institute, in which the organization of synoptic services of Arctic navigation and aviation was entrusted to Vyacheslav Vasilyevich.
As a leading weather forecast, the Frolov department was directly involved in servicing complex operations in the Arctic. In winter, in November, Frolov voluntarily joined the Navy and worked for some time with a weather forecaster at the headquarters of the icebreaker detachment of the White Sea Military Flotilla. He repeatedly personally participated in the responsible and difficult campaigns of ships in the White, Barents and Kara Seas, took part in the reflection of enemy attacks of planes and submarines.
Frolov participated in the reflection of the attack of the fascist cruiser "Admiral Sheer." For the successful fulfillment of combat missions, V. Frolov in Frolov was demobilized and sent to the Arctic Research Institute, and from there again to Dixon to the post of head of the weather bureau. At the end of G. Frolov returned to Leningrad and continued to work in the Anniya: first, deputy head of the department of short -term weather forecasts, and in July G.
In April, for ten years, V. Frolov headed the ANII with G. with his assistance organized large integrated sea expeditions, including the expedition on the LITKA and GG ice core. Frolov actively participated in the organization of drifting research stations of the North Pole and high-wide air expeditions North, in some of them in and the GG. An important event in the life of Aania was the organization of a “flying meteorological observatory”, the scientific director of which for a number of years V.
Frolov was the only one in the Soviet Union, and at that time in the world, a low temperature laboratory with an experimental basin and special cameras. The laboratory has become the main experimental base of the institute for ice research and testing models of icebreakers and ice class ships. Frolov did a lot to streamline the work of the Arctic research observatories of Dixon, Tiksi and Peevek.
Frolov took all measures to staff the staff of observatories with highly qualified specialists and providing them with scientific equipment and vehicles to perform scientific research. A lot of work was carried out by V. Frolov on the organization of research in the Arctic under the program of the International Geophysical Year - GG. He took part in the creation of a geophysical station in the Tiksi Bay, a high -wrapped observatory on Fr.
Haisa Earth of Franz Joseph, in the organization of special scientific observations on Dixon, Spitsbergen and drifting stations. Starting with G. Frolov, he was engaged in coordination of research in Antarctica.Frolov actively participated in scientific and public life-he was a member of the Scientific and Technical Council of the Hydrometeorological Service and a member of the Academic Council of the Central Research Institute of the Navy, repeatedly made lectures and reports.
It was also known at the international level - during the International Geophysical Year, he was a member of the Interdepartmental Committee and the Interdepartmental Antarctic Commission, a member of the Bureau of the Interdepartmental Oceanographic Commission, as well as a number of other scientific and public organizations. Vyacheslav Vasilievich Frolov died on August 22
