For the first time, the highest legislative body of the republic was headed by a woman, the press service of the parliament said. The new speaker of the Republican Parliament represents the United Russia faction.

Egorova’s candidacy was proposed to nominate to the post of speaker of the KBR parliament delegates of the conference of the Kabardino-Balkarian regional branch of the United Russia party, which was held in Nalchik on September 16.

After electing the speaker of the KBR parliament, Tatyana Egorova thanked the deputies and emphasized that everyone had a lot of work ahead. The main tasks of the task of the parliament, she called the improvement of the legislative framework, the increase in the effectiveness of parliament as an independent branch of power. The speaker also expressed hope for constructive joint work with the government of the republic.

She urged deputies not to lose touch with voters and cooperate with public organizations of the republic. At the meeting, a significant renewal of the highest legislative body was noted - out of 70 deputies, the parliament was first elected significantly rejuvenated. The average age of deputies is 51 years, while in the previous composition it was 55 years. Six deputies - under the age of 35, earlier this age category was not presented at all.

The representative office of women deputies has also grown. Now there are 11 of them, instead of nine in the past convocation. The national composition develops in proportion to the general structure of the Kabardino -Balkarian society: 52.8 percent of deputies - Kabardins, 18.6 percent - Balkars, 24.3 percent - Russians and 4.3 percent - representatives of other nationalities.

C for years worked in the Komsomol bodies of the republic. In the highest legislative body of the KBR, Egorova worked for more than 20 years. From the years, he was a consultant to the permanent commission of the Supreme Council of the KBR for Youth Affairs. In March, he was elected deputy of the Kabardino-Balkaria parliament of the fourth convocation on the lists of the Kabardino-Balkarian regional branch of the United Russia party, the chairman of the Parliament Committee on Youth, Public Associations and Mass Media, and Deputy Head of the United Russia faction.
